Target:
Nirta® liquid target
The irradiation of inexpensive natural zinc via 64Zn(p,α)61Cu nuclear reaction provides enough isotope for research applications.
Chemistry:
Hardware ready
Copper-61 is a radioisotope used in positron emission tomography (PET). It has a half-life of 3.33h. The use of this nuclide is currently low. However, its easy and especially inexpensive production in medical cyclotrons makes it an attractive radionuclide of copper.
